Read the passage and answer the questions about making pancakes.

Pancakes are a fun breakfast food and they are easy to make. You should make sure you have an adult help you make pancakes.

First, you out a scoop of pancake mix in your cup. Then you add water to your mix. You want to add the water slowly because you don't want the batter to be runny but you need to be able to our it from your cup. Now you can add your special ingredient such as chocolate chips or blueberries.

You are ready to cook your pancake. Allow the griddle to warm up and are sure it has been lightly greased with butter or cooking spray.

Pour a circle of batter on the griddle. When the top is bubbly all over, flip the pancake with a spatula.

Leave the pancake on the griddle for another minute. The bottom should be lightly brown. Then put the pancake on a plate and make the next pancake.

Serve the pancakes with butter and syrup.
