Spring - Bicycle

A bicycle has two wheels. If you'd never seen a bicycle before, you'd still be able to tell that it had two wheels. How? By looking at the prefix.

The word bicycle contains the prefix bi-. Bi- means two. That's how you know that a bicycle has two wheels, a tricycle has three wheels, and a unicycle has one wheel.

Every number has at least one prefix associated with it. You've already seen that uni- means one and tri- means three.
