When you're writing a sentence with multiple parts, you want to use parallel structure.


Parallel structure is when words take the same form, or follow the same pattern, in a sentence.


Look at this sentence: To play in the snow is like spending time in a magical wonderland.

Do you notice anything wrong with it? Here's a hint: It doesn't contain parallel structure.

Look at this sentence: Playing in the snow is like spending time in a magical wonderland.
