An interrogative sentence is a sentence that asks a question.
Similarly, an interrogative adjective is a word you use to ask a question.
There are three main interrogative adjectives:
- WHOSE
- WHAT
- WHICH
Interrogative adjectives typically appear the beginning of a sentence, but sometimes they hide out in the middle.
Examples:
- Whose house is the party at?
- Which dress are you going to wear?
- What time do you want me to be there?
- Can you find out what food I should bring?
- Let me know which car to take.
- The police officer determined whose fault the accident was.
Interrogative adjectives follow the pattern:

Another part of speech that looks similar to an interrogative adjective is the interrogative pronoun.
It follows the patterns:
- Interrogative pronoun

Interrogative pronoun
If you don't see a noun after the interrogative adjective, you know it's actually an interrogative pronoun.
Can you tell the difference?
- Whose coat is that? - Interrogative adjective
- Whose is that? - Interrogative pronoun
- I don't know which cupcake is hers. - Interrogative adjective
- I don't know which is hers. - Interrogative pronoun
