These special features are called text features. They are special details and formatting elements that help the reader understand key points and information in a text.
Text elements include details such as:
- headings
- captions
- photographs
- bold font
- glossaries
- table of contents
- bulleted lists
All of these features are included in a text to help you find the information you're looking for and figure out what it all means.
